Do you charge for quotes on residential work?
No — residential quotes are free, and we agree a fixed price before any work starts. The price we agree is the price you pay.
How do I know if my switchboard needs upgrading?
Common signs: ceramic fuses instead of circuit breakers, no safety switches (RCDs), breakers that trip regularly, or plans to add big loads like air conditioning, induction cooking or an EV charger. We’ll assess it honestly — if it doesn’t need replacing, we’ll tell you.
Can you replace the meter as well, or just the board?
Both. We’re registered meter installers, so we can swap your old accumulation meter for a smart meter as part of the same job rather than upgrading the board and leaving you to arrange metering separately. One crew, one shutdown, one visit.
Are smoke alarms and safety switches legally required in NSW?
Working smoke alarms are required in every NSW home, and safety switches are required on power circuits in newer installations. We install photoelectric alarms and RCD protection to current standards.
Do you clean up after the job?
Always. Sites are left clean, penetrations sealed, and nothing left behind — it’s one of the things clients mention most.
